Noodle Dialogue deepens learning by giving students fast, meaningful ways to engage with learning practice and application. Through our intuitive, LMS-embedded tool, students can receive immediate feedback on their paper, demonstrate mastery of a subject through conversations with an agent, and practice their skills in real-world situations.
Personalize Feedback on Student Work
When a student hands in an assignment, she is connected to a Zoom-like interface in which an agent, who has read her work, discusses it with her for several minutes, and then provides feedback about the paper and about her defense of it. This is helpful in two ways:
- For the student, it’s immediate, detailed feedback about her work, and practice in defending her ideas.
- For the professor, it’s validation that the student did not just complete the assignment, but actually learned the topic. Further, it leverages the faculty’s rubric to give a good start towards assessing the paper, and can even suggest a grade.
Dialogue can also be used to give students feedback on their drafts and help them sculpt their work.
Create Scenarios to Hone Critical Skills
Dialogue allows students to practice a wide range of professional and interpersonal skills, receiving personalized feedback on how they think, decide, and respond in realistic scenarios across disciplines. Professors can place students into situations designed to practice real-life conversations. Examples include:
- Patient interviews and diagnostic conversations
- Conflict resolution and leadership coaching
- Policy advocacy and briefings
- Interviewing
- Difficult dialogues in counseling, education, or workplace settings
Encourage Conversation
Dialogue can create a centralized social hub in your LMS for learners to meet, chat, and share ideas. Much like Slack, this social tool is where learners go not just to discuss class topics, but to connect with mentors, share experiences, and build community beyond the classroom. Channels can be customized based on university requirements and might include:
- Individual or group mentor/mentee groups
- Affinity-group based communities
- Class based communities
- Alumni communities
